The decision is not about features. It is about which compromise you will tolerate daily.
The tracker compromise
Fewer sensors and a simple screen, in exchange for a week or more of battery. Best if you want sleep and activity data without a nightly charging ritual.
The watch compromise
A screen you interact with, payments, calls, and apps, in exchange for charging every day or two. Best if you want notifications managed from the wrist.
The habit test
- Will you wear it overnight? Sleep data is half the value.
- Will you take it off for charging and forget it?
- Do you want notifications on your wrist, or do you want fewer of them?
Answer those three honestly and the category picks itself. Most buyers overestimate how much they want a screen.
Bottom line: buy the device you will keep wearing, not the one with the longer feature list.
